Amir Khan’s brother Haroon Khan has come out in support of his brothers performance up to this point in the I’m A Celeb camp.
Khan got off to a terrible start and left viewers shocked at his disastrous performance in his first Bushtucker trial.
The former world boxing champion and Olympian was hilariously defeated by a tiny snake during the trial.
The boxer left viewers stunned when he unwittingly picked up the snake and screamed in terror before crying out “I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here”.
However Khan came back fighting on Tuesday night’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, as he successfully completed his second public-voted trial – and returned to Croc Creek with a meal ticket in hand.
Khan has now stormed forward to become one of the bookies’ favourites to win I’m A Celeb, despite going in as an outsider.
According to Ladbrokes, the 30-year-old boxer is now leading the camp and they’re giving odds of 6/1 on him winning – an impressive feat considering he was 16/1 just yesterday.
Speaking on This Morning Haroon admitted he was shocked his brother chose to appear on the show having ‘never seen the show before.’
Haroon said; ‘First of all he broke the ice by saying he was going to watch The Ashes – the cricket – and I thought he was supposed to be in training camp.
‘Then we were having dinner one evening and dad was like “he’s going to the jungle” – he’s literally scared of all creatures, and what’s in the jungle, all the creatures!
‘We all couldn’t believe it, we all know how terrified he is of snakes and spiders, that’s his worst nightmare in there.
When asked if it was true Khan had never seen the show before, Haroon said: ‘He’s never seen the show before – that’s true, you don’t know how tough it is and I think now he realises.
I didn’t show him clips because I didn’t want to scare him, but even I didn’t think it would be that bad.
‘But he’s doing great up to now – in yesterday’s task he smashed it.’
